The role of Tree Warden is fulfilled by two employees that hold the title of Massachusetts Qualified Tree Warden. Director of Public Works, John Broderick, manages tree removal operations and shade tree removal requests. Conservation Administrator/Planner, Rebekah Cornell, manages community outreach and new shade tree plantings. Together with the Tree Committee they work to protect public shade trees and, where necessary, protect the public from the trees.
