Transportation is available for senior center activities and appointments within South Hadley beginning on July 1, 2008. Rides for grocery shopping are provided. See The Golden Chronicle Newsletter for updated information.
In-Town Transportation Service
The South Hadley Council on Aging provides an in-town transportation service via the the South Hadley minibus as well as our new electric car. Rides are available within town free of charge for individuals 60 years of age or older.
- Coverage: Medical appointments, Grocery shopping, Trips to and from the Senior Center, Social events
- Hours: Monday - Friday 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM., Thursday evenings by request.
- Advance Notice: At least 3 business days in advance.
- Accessibility: Curb-to-curb service with a wheelchair lift; no hands-on assistance
